Fee Exemptions & Free Permits for Construction Activities

New mixed use and residential development projects are exempt from paying roadway community facility fees as well as construction-related encroachment permits.

Quicker Approval

  • Since downtown development is managed through a base code, development plans are approved administratively, without a public hearing.

Eligible Properties

All downtown-based properties undertaking new mixed-use and residential development projects are eligible.

Up to $2500 Cash & No Local Taxes for New Tenants

New Retail Businesses that are open Monday through Saturday receive cash up front and a refund of local sales and mill tax for first year of business.

Existing Retail Businesses that extend hours are eligible for refund of local sales tax collected during the extended hours for one year.
