Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager

Reports To: Director of District Identity

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of District Identity, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and producing content for digital marketing platforms. Digital Marketing Manager is also responsible for assisting the Director of District Identity with the development of promotions and awareness campaigns designed to increase the impact of all content and inbound marketing for the Downtown Modesto Partnership and its brands. The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a full-time position with a primary responsibility toward enhancing the image of Downtown Modesto and the Downtown Modesto Partnership brands, including:

➢ Downtown Modesto digital marketing platforms

➢ Special events such as DoMo Walls as DoMo First Fridays

➢ Regularly running programs such as Back Of House Food Tour and DoMo Hunt

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain positive alliances with business owners and staff

  • Actively solicit downtown businesses, community members, and DoMo staff for brand and content marketing

  • Work with Director of District Identity on campaign ideation, creative strategy, segmentation, and social advertising channels

  • Write creative, thoughtful, and engaging copy for social media

  • Assist with managing Google Analytics, both tactically and strategically, to understand our online digital experience across the website, digital ad, and social media channels

  • Capture and edit photography and videography for various digital channels

  • Create digital content using prescribed brands to ensure programs reflect the DoMo standard of quality

  • Build awareness and program calendar of all produced events occurring downtown

  • Support database of downtown businesses to maintain DoMo’s web-based downtown retailer directory

  • Monitor, measure, and report social media and website analytics to the Director of District Identity

  • Monitor and evaluate online media campaigns to keep them fresh and effective

  • Utilize market research and keep abreast of competitive trends in digital marketing, advertising, and social media content creation

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms and social media marketing techniques

  • Strong writing skills and a passion for storytelling that is compelling and relatable

  • Flexibility in work schedule, as needed

  • Strong interpersonal and communicative skills
